The seminar will explore the ideas and practices of figures in political, philosophical, literary, art and historiographical circles during the latter half of the fifteenth century and early sixteenth century. The goal of the seminar is to establish a richer and deeper understanding of the context in which new interpretations of the Confucian tradition emerged.
