Association for Asian Studies Announces Nomination Deadline for Patrick D. Hanan Book Prize for Translation (China and Inner Asia)

Hanan, the Victor S. Thomas Professor of Chinese Literature at Harvard University, who passed away in 2014. Hanan studied Chinese vernacular fiction and, through his elegant and witty translations, brought to light neglected works such as The Carnal Prayer Mat, The Sea of Regret, and A Tower for the Summer Heat.
