DESCRIPTION:<p>On Wednesday, October 9 at 6:00 in room #212 at 2 Divinity Avenue, the next screening in the EALC Screening Series will show <strong><em>Kanaria</em></strong> (Akihiko Shiota, 2005, Japanese language <span style="text-decoration: underline;">w. English subtitles</span>), a harrowing film about a boy's escape from his upbringing in a religious cult in Japan.</p><p>In this series each monthly screening is connected to a different course being taught at EALC. Next week's screening will be held in co-operation with Helen Hardacre's Class <em>Animated Spirituality – Japanese Religion in Anime, Manga and Film.</em> </p><p>Professor Hardacre will provide a short introduction and be present for a discussion afterwards. <strong>Food and drink will be served!</strong></p><p><strong><drupal-media data-entity-type="media" data-entity-uuid="6fcc3f92-e1b8-4d01-b680-b863ca4f9cda" data-view-mode="hwp_large"></drupal-media></strong></p>
