Azalea Lee studies pre-modern Korean literature. Her research focuses on how literature teaches and depicts the everyday lives of women in the Chosŏn dynasty. She is also interested in the use of fiction as a pedagogical tool, and literature in the greater Sinographic Cosmopolis. She holds a B.A. in Psychology and Korean Language and Culture and an M.A. in Asian Studies from the University of British Columbia.
