He has been teaching at Harvard since 2019 and has taught Chinese courses across elementary, intermediate, and pre-advanced levels for both heritage and non-heritage learners. He currently teaches Elementary Modern Chinese (Ba/Bb). He has also taught in Harvard’s intensive summer programs, including Harvard Beijing Academy and Harvard Taipei Academy, and serves as Director of Harvard Taipei Academy in 2026. Beyond classroom teaching, he has coordinated online course partnerships with National Taiwan University since 2021 and with Peking University beginning in Spring 2026, and he co-organized the 2025 Harvard ICCP conference. He regularly presents at major conferences such as ACTFL, CLTA, and NECLTA, with research interests spanning technology-enhanced language teaching, textbook development, grammar pedagogy, DEI, and learner motivation. His recent work focuses on customizing AI tools to support beginning Chinese learners through pedagogically aligned tutoring and practice.
