Prof. Peter Bol Awarded the China Special Book Award

EALC Professor Peter Bol was honored with the China Special Book Award, the highest honor in China's publishing industry for foreigners. On Tuesday, June 17th, along with 15 others from multiple countries, Prof. Bol was given an award for his writing about Chinese topics. Bol was quoted as saying, "In the three years I spent studying the Four Books and Five Classics, I came to realize that the way people see the world helps explain how they respond to the world, and the way people see the world is deeply influenced by what they read." 

Professor Bol's award was reported on in the Chinese Global Times and called out specifically by the Chinese Consulate of Chicago on X.
