  1. On the day of the test, arrive five minutes early at 5 Bryant St. to get set up. Bring your own laptop or tablet with access to Harvard wifi. If you don’t have either, get in contact with Naia Poyer, the EALP Program Assistant (naia_poyer@fas.harvard.edu) as soon as possible. There is no guarantee we will be able to provide you with a laptop if sufficient notice is not given.
  2. Install a Japanese language keyboard on your device before the day of the test and familiarize yourself with its use, including hiragana, katakana, and kanji. Installation instructions for both Mac and PC can be found here.
  3. Keep in mind the Harvard honor code while taking the test. Opening tabs or windows to any site outside of the quiz and its questions may constitute a violation of the honor code. Additionally, sharing the link or any of the test’s contents with others is a violation of the honor code.
  4. If you will need any accommodations for the test (e.g. assistance for a visual/hearing impairment or extra time), get in contact with both Naia Poyer and the JLP Director, Wesley Jacobsen (jacobsen@fas.harvard.edu) as soon as possible.
