Benjamin Orion Landauer studies Chinese poetry, with a primary interest in authorial identity and compositional practices in Medieval poetry. They also research modern Chinese poetry from the Republican and Post-socialist periods, and have spent time researching modern Chinese rap music and its connection to the technological landscape of modern China. Ben also focuses on women’s writings, both in dynastic poetry and contemporary rap music. Ben holds a BA in Chinese Language and Literature from Reed College (2017), an MA in Chinese Literature from Nanjing University (2019), and another MA with a focus in Chinese Literature from Harvard University RSEA (2021).
