Wenfei Wang studies the literature and visual culture of early modern (Ming and Qing) China with a special interest in the questions of transmediality and epistemology in response to the problematics of modernity. Wenfei holds a BA in Chinese Literature and an MA in Film Studies from Nanjing University, and a second MA in Chinese Literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She used to work as a curator, translator, and art critic of contemporary Chinese art in Beijing.
