Ying-Chieh Wang is a Preceptor in Chinese in the Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations at Harvard University, where she has been teaching since 2020. Before joining Harvard, she taught at Wake Forest University and National Taiwan University. She has also worked in several intensive summer language programs, including Harvard Taipei Academy, Harvard Summer School, and the Critical Language Scholarship Program.
 

Ying-Chieh has taught Chinese at all levels in both heritage and non-heritage tracks. Her teaching is grounded in student-centered, interactive learning that builds confidence and encourages practical use of Chinese beyond the classroom. She received Harvard University’s Certificate of Distinction in Teaching from 2020 to 2022. Her research interests focus on language pedagogy, curriculum design, and community-based language learning.
