On Wednesday, October 9 at 6:00 in room #212 at 2 Divinity Avenue, the next screening in the EALC Screening Series will show Kanaria (Akihiko Shiota, 2005, Japanese language w. English subtitles), a harrowing film about a boy's escape from his upbringing in a religious cult in Japan.
In this series each monthly screening is connected to a different course being taught at EALC. Next week's screening will be held in co-operation with Helen Hardacre's Class Animated Spirituality – Japanese Religion in Anime, Manga and Film.
Professor Hardacre will provide a short introduction and be present for a discussion afterwards. Food and drink will be served!
